Just when you thought it couldn't get better, The Durham Region Association of Realtors reports the best year ever of sales of single family homes in Durham Region.
The average year-over-year house prices rose 4.6% in 2007, inventory was up 10.4% and the average number of days on the market in 2007 was 41 - down slightly from 2006.
As for 2008, the prospect of softer economic growth usually prompts the Bank of Canada to lower interest rates, which can make home ownership more affordable & more attractive.
